Understanding sales tax collection on Misprint
We're required to collect sales tax in certain states where we do business, known as "sales tax nexus."
It depends on where the order is going. Sales tax is set by state and local law, so whether any is due — and at what rate — varies with the delivery address, right down to the city and county. That means two orders placed on the same day can be taxed differently, and some are not taxed at all.
You never have to work this out yourself: any sales tax due is calculated automatically and shown at checkout before you pay.
Tax is calculated automatically based on your shipping address and local tax rates.
Then we did not charge any on it. If no sales tax applies to your delivery address, or you hold an approved exemption, you are not charged any at checkout — a $0.00 tax line is not a missing or failed charge.

As we roll out sales tax collection in more states, we'll notify affected users directly via email and/or on-site notices. We'll also aim to give as much advance notice as possible.
To minimize disruption, any tax changes will not apply retroactively to existing bids or orders—only to new purchases after the rollout date.
If you're a reseller or have a valid exemption certificate, please reach out via our contact form with documentation. We'll review and, if approved, mark your account as tax-exempt going forward.
Note: Exemptions may take a few business days to process. We recommend submitting your documentation before placing any taxable orders.
