How to verify your number, fix SMS code issues, and keep your account secure
Verifying your phone number helps us keep Misprint safe for everyone. A confirmed number is one of the strongest tools we have for fraud prevention and account security, and it makes sure we can reach you about your orders.
Most missing-code problems are quick to fix. Try these steps in order:
If you have tried all of the above and still cannot get a code, reach out through our contact form and let us know which number you are trying to verify.
Each phone number can be linked to only one Misprint account at a time. If you see a message that your number is already in use, it usually means the number is tied to another account, or to an older account you may have created and forgotten about. This is common if you previously started signing up as a guest. Our support team can help you sort this out. See the section on unlinking a number below.
You can review the contact details on file from your account settings. If you need to move your verification to a new number and cannot do it yourself, contact us and we'll help you get re-verified on your current phone. Updating your phone number works much the same way as changing the email on your account, so the same tips apply.
SMS consent means you agree to receive text messages from Misprint at the number you provide, such as verification codes and account-related notices. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Giving consent to verify your number does not sign you up for marketing texts, and you can manage your communication preferences from your account.
VoIP and virtual numbers (such as those from Google Voice or similar apps) may not reliably receive verification codes, and some cannot receive them at all. For the smoothest experience, we recommend using a standard mobile number tied to a physical SIM.
We ask for phone verification at points where account security matters most, such as before completing a purchase or listing items for sale. This protects both buyers and sellers by reducing fraudulent activity and making sure the person behind a transaction can be reached. You can learn more about how the marketplace works in our general FAQ.
Yes. If your number is tied to another account or to an abandoned account you can no longer access, our support team can unlink it or help you re-verify, once we confirm the number belongs to you. Because this protects your account, we need to verify your identity before making any changes.

With that information we can locate the accounts involved, confirm ownership, and get your number verified on the right account.
