Understanding your payout breakdown and when your money arrives
When you sell a card on Misprint, your payout is what remains after we subtract the marketplace costs from the sale. The formula is straightforward:
Payout = Sale price − platform (commission) fee − payment processing fee − shipping label cost − any refund adjustments
The shipping fee is charged to the buyer and passed on to you, so it both adds to what the buyer pays and covers your label. Your exact platform fee depends on your seller level, which is why the example below is illustrative. See our Seller Levels & Fees guide for the rate that applies to your account.
Imagine you sell a single graded card for $100. Here is how the numbers might break down. The fee figures below are illustrative — check your own rate on the Seller Levels & Fees page.
| Line item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Sale price | $100.00 |
| Platform fee (illustrative 7%) | −$7.00 |
| Payment processing (illustrative 3% + $0.30) | −$3.30 |
| Shipping label (buyer-paid, passed to you) | $0.00 net |
| Estimated payout | ≈ $89.70 |
Illustrative only: the 7% platform fee and the 3% + $0.30 processing figures shown here are examples for the math. Your platform fee is driven by your seller level, so confirm your exact rate on the Seller Levels & Fees page. Fees apply to the total transaction, including the shipping amount passed to you.
Buyers pay a shipping fee that is passed straight to you as the seller, so it is designed to offset your label cost rather than eat into your item proceeds:
For a single graded card that is $5.00 of shipping ($2.50 base + $2.50 graded item). We recommend budgeting for shipping supplies and insurance on high-value cards, since those are not covered by the base fee. Full packaging rules live in our Seller Help Center.
Funds become eligible for payout after the order is delivered — not when you drop it at the carrier. Delivery is confirmed through the tracking number you upload, so adding accurate tracking promptly is the fastest way to start the payout clock. You can follow an order from purchase through delivery on the order status guide.
We process payouts on a weekly cycle:
If an order was delivered but is not in your Monday payout, it is usually one of these reasons:
When a refund is approved on one of your sales, that amount is deducted from your payout. If the sale has not paid out yet, the refund simply reduces the eligible balance for that order. If you have already been paid, the refund is offset against your next payout or applied to your seller balance. Refunds are only issued in specific circumstances, such as items that arrive damaged, inauthentic, or significantly not as described. See our refunds guide for the full policy and how adjustments are handled.
Your seller dashboard is the single source of truth for everything money-related. There you can view your current balance, pending payouts, and a per-order breakdown of the sale price, fees, shipping, and net proceeds. You can also export your full transaction history as a CSV, which itemizes platform and Stripe fees, shipping costs, refunds, and net payout for each sale.
