Editing prices, removing listings, and handling sales on Misprint
Whether you need to reprice a card, take one off the market, or fix a listing that isn't behaving as expected, this guide walks through the most common seller listing issues. If you're brand new to selling, start with our seller getting-started guide first.
Open your seller dashboard, find the active listing (ask) you want to change, and select Edit. Enter your new asking price and save. Your listing updates immediately, and buyers browsing that card will see the new price right away.
Tip: Lowering your price to become the lowest ask can help your card sell faster, since buyers purchasing at market always match the lowest available ask first.
To take a card off the market, find the listing in your seller dashboard and choose Cancel or Deactivate. Deactivating removes the ask from the marketplace so no new buyer can purchase it, while keeping the item in your inventory so you can relist it later. You can cancel a listing at any time before it is purchased with no penalty.
If you sell a card on another platform or in person, deactivate or cancel the Misprint listing as soon as possible so it can't be purchased here too. As long as you remove it before a buyer purchases it, there is no impact on your account. The risk is only when the card sells on both sides before you've taken the listing down, which is why keeping your listings current matters.
Once a card has been purchased, you can no longer simply remove the listing — a confirmed sale is an order you've agreed to fulfill. If you genuinely cannot ship the card (for example, you sold it elsewhere first), please contact our support team right away so we can help the buyer and cancel the order on your behalf.
Canceling a sale that a buyer has already paid for has consequences for your seller account. Reach out to support before the shipping deadline rather than letting the order go unfulfilled.
Buyers expect that a purchased card will ship. Because of that, canceling a confirmed sale affects your standing as a seller and can influence your seller level, fees, and payout timing. Repeated cancellations may also lead to restrictions on your account. The best way to protect your standing is to avoid overselling in the first place.
Overselling happens when a listing stays active after the card is no longer available to ship. A few habits prevent it:
You can list more than one copy of the same card. Each copy is its own listing with its own condition or grade and its own asking price, so you can price a near-mint copy differently from a played one. When a buyer purchases at market, the lowest ask for that exact card and condition sells first, so review each copy's price individually.
If you can't find the card you want to sell, it may not be in our catalog yet, or it may be listed under a slightly different set, number, or variant. Try searching by set and card number before assuming it's missing. If it truly isn't there, report it so our team can add or correct it — see our guide to reporting catalog and card data issues for how to submit the details we need.
Both the number of listings you can have active and the maximum value of any single item are governed by your seller level. As you build a positive track record on Misprint, your level rises and these limits increase. If you're hitting a cap, review your seller level, limits, and how to level up for the specifics that apply to your account.
